El profesor de arte del COCOA Howard Taikeff está terminando su maestría, hace retratos para la comunidad, está exponiendo en Ibarra y algunos protraits rápidos de arcilla de personajes famosos de Ibarra.
Su defensa de tesis de la Mestría: “My on-line presentation of my Final Project for my M.F.A. was a great success. I have been explaining my work to the public so much that I was already rehearsed. The committee did not adjourn in a private meeting as they usually do. The director called a vote spontaneously at the end of my presentation and I passed. So, I am happy to be done with these four years of daily posting, thousands of photos manipulated, on-line discussions, production of a tremendous body of work, exhibitions in two important public cultural institutions, a 70 page thesis, (OK, 20 pages of photos), and a 350 page journal that documents the whole 2 year process. It was a very enriching experience and the university supported me with technological and physical resources, space to produce in, time to produce, an excellent support structure and I thank it, from the cupola through the Dean-ships of COCOA and Planta Fisica.
